England have booked their place in the last eight of Football Euro 2024 in dramatic fashion after beating Slovakia 2-1 in extra time. With the game having to be equalised in stoppage time.

In the 5th minute, Slovakia had a chance to score when Lukas Haraslin dragged the ball in and passed it into the penalty area on the left side for David Hanchko to make a half-shot, half-pass, but the ball went wide of the far post.

England had a golden opportunity in the 9th minute when Jude Bellingham cut through the Slovakian defence to Kieran Trippier, who fired a right-footed shot from the left side of the penalty area, but the ball flew over the bar UFABET 

In the 24th minute, England had another chance from a corner kick that was cleared until it reached Cobbie Menoune who volleyed with his right foot from outside the penalty area over the bar.

But just a minute later, Slovakia took a 1-0 lead when Juraj Kucka headed a long ball that David Strelech collected. And passed into the right side of the penalty area for Ivan Schranz to tap in. And flick with the outside of his right foot past Jordan Pickford into the net.

After that, even though England tried to push forward, they had almost no clear chances. The first half ended with Slovakia leading 1-0.

In the second half, in the 50th minute.

England had to cheer when Kieran Trippier broke into the penalty area on the left and crossed to Phil Foden who shot into the net. However, after checking with VAR, Foden was offside. So the score was disallowed.

England tried to attack, Declan Rice shot from the edge of the penalty area with his right foot. The ball hit the post and bounced out. Harry Kane had an awkward volley, the ball bounced off the ground and went over the bar.

The game looked to be over, but England equalised in the 90+5 minute of stoppage time. Kyle Walker threw a long throw in, Marc Guehi headed the ball and Jude Bellingham scored a classic bicycle kick.

After 90 minutes.

England drew 1-1 with Slovakia, requiring extra time.

Just a minute into extra time, England took a 2-1 lead when Cole Palmer crossed from a free kick on the right. Which Martin Dubravka punched away. Ebereshi Ese volleyed back, Ivan Toney headed the ball back to the far post and Harry Kane headed it into the net.

In the 105th minute, Slovakia almost equalized. Laslo Benes crossed with power and curve from the left side of the penalty area to the far post. Peter Pekarik charged in. But the ball hit his knee and went over the bar.

After 120 minutes, England beat Slovakia 2-1 and advanced to the quarter-finals to meet Switzerland.
